0 off" is illegal. "Honest reviews get A
0 off" is fine.

The phrasing in your post-purchase email matters: ask for an "honest review" not a "good review." Include a one-line disclosure on review widgets that some customers received a discount in exchange for a review (Loox, Yotpo, Judge.me all handle this disclosure automatically).

Why this matters

Reviews are the cheapest CRO lever you can pull. The post-purchase flow is 1 hour to set up in Klaviyo, then runs automatically forever. Stores that nail this in their first 90 days hit 100+ reviews per top product within 6 months — and the conversion-rate compound effect is decisive. Stores that ignore it stay at 4-6 reviews per product, fight conversion-rate ceilings, and never understand why their identical-looking competitor is outperforming them 2:1.

Month 1 results: 32 reviews collected (15% review rate). Month 2: 38 reviews (17%). Month 3: 42 reviews (19%). Photo review rate: 22% of reviewers attached a photo by month 2.
