The four types of winning products
Every dropshipping winner falls into one of four categories. Each category has a different velocity profile, ad-cost profile, returns profile and lifetime curve. Pick wrong and the rest of the playbook will not save you.
Type 1 — Problem-solvers
A problem-solver fixes a specific, named, immediate annoyance. Examples: a silicone drain cover for hair, a magnetic charging cable, a pet-hair lint roller, an under-desk cable organiser.

- Impulse purchase, low consideration
- Conversion rate often 2-3.5% even on cold traffic
