ePacket is functionally dead in 2025. The shipping option beginners still ask about doesn't exist for most products to AU/US/UK anymore — but most courses still teach it. Today: the actual shipping options that work in 2026, by region, with real cost and time math.

What happened to ePacket

ePacket was a USPS-China Post agreement that gave subsidised tracking and 12-20 day delivery from China to the US, AU, UK and EU. Starting in 2020, USPS rate hikes and pandemic disruption gutted the program. By 2023 most carriers had moved to "ePacket replacement" services — Yanwen, Cainiao, AliExpress Standard.

In 2025-2026, when AliExpress lists "ePacket" it usually means a replacement carrier with similar timing. The actual carrier name on tracking is often Yanwen Economy, Cainiao Standard, or AliExpress Standard for AU.
