Google Search Ads for Branded Defence and Competitor Capture

Branded Search Ads (people searching your brand name) cost less and convert 5–10x better than cold traffic. But most dropshippers skip them. Today we show you when branded defense pays and the AU compliance rules you must follow.
Branded Search Ads: the high-ROAS channel most operators skip
When someone types "Majorka products" or "smart water bottle Australia" into Google Search, they are showing high purchase intent. Branded Search Ads are text ads that appear above organic results.
For dropshippers, branded Search includes three sub-channels:
- Defending your own brand (your store name, product line name)
- Capturing competitor brand searches (bidding on rivals' names, legally and ethically)
- Capturing generic high-intent searches ("water bottle under A$30" = generic, not branded)
